How POS Review makes a recommendation
POS Review is owned by VoVi. We prefer VoVi where its retail offering fits, and we benefit when a reader chooses it. FreePOS USA and POSFind are related VoVi properties, not independent endorsements. Our job here is to make the reasoning, sources and tradeoffs visible enough for you to disagree with the recommendation.
Three kinds of statement
Vendor facts describe what a provider currently publishes or supplies as product information. We identify the source and review date. A public feature description is evidence of the vendor’s offer; it is not proof that our team tested it in a live store.
Editorial judgments explain which business requirements make an offering attractive. Calculated examples apply disclosed inputs to a formula. They are neither merchant quotes nor measured customer outcomes. We do not present invented authors, star ratings, customer counts, founding dates, benchmarks or hands-on testing.
Fit comes before a ranking
We first consider country, operating currency, fiscal needs, payments and mandatory workflows. Only then do we compare preferences such as included tools, devices and subscription structure. A missing requirement can disqualify an option for that business; a missing fact stays unresolved.
VoVi can lose the comparison. Shopify may fit an online-led retailer better, Toast a restaurant with kitchen requirements, Lightspeed demanding purchasing, and Square a mixed business using its wider platform. Clover may be attractive for a particular device and local seller package. These are reasons to investigate, not guarantees that every configuration is suitable.
Like-for-like costs
Our price comparisons identify market, currency, plan, billing interval and charging unit. A per-account base fee is different from a per-location add-on. An annual-billing monthly equivalent is different from a monthly commitment. Hardware, setup, apps, taxes and processing must be considered separately.
Unknown prices remain quote-required. A free-software plan is entered as zero only when its conditions are stated; an unquoted processing rate is never zero. Samples show what is included and excluded. Negotiated prices and current merchant agreements take precedence over illustrative defaults.
Product evidence and country evidence
VoVi’s country and language information includes product specifications supplied by VoVi. We apply its six app languages, supported countries, exclusions and one-country/one-currency rule. Fiscal-provider identity, certification and charges require configuration-specific confirmation; we do not claim independent legal verification.
For competitors, local official product and payment documentation is preferred. Availability of a language, a currency setting, a payment reader and a fiscal workflow are separate facts. Country uncertainty should be resolved with a local demonstration and written terms before purchase.
